I am a PhD candidate at the Graduate Center at the City University of New York. My research offers tools for conceptually modeling key aspects of large language model (LLM) cognition and behavior. I am also interested in technical AI research, especially the work on evaluations of cognitive capabilities and the study of the internals of systems, a.k.a. interpretability.

From January to April 2026, I was a GovAI Winter Fellow under the supervision of Joe O’ Brien (IAPS), working on policy for differential technological development and safely automating AI R&D.

As of May 2026, I am a Research Manager at MATS Research.

In a previous life, I worked on philosophy of science (laws of nature, causation, etc.) and American philosophy. In 2020, I published my translation of Thoreau’s selected letters in Greek.

Before that, I was planning a path in the human brain sciences, thinking that medical school and neuroscience would answer all my questions. Spoiler alert: they would not. So, here I am.

You can navigate through my research, teaching, technical projects, and arts to explore more of my work and interests.
